This documentary film tells about Armenian region of Javakhk, which is more than 2.5 thousand years old and which is being transformed day by day and disappears. Film will reveal negative aspects of the tragedy, the disappearance of architectural and cultural values.
Our main aim is to attract the attention of politicians and officials to the problem of ethnic isolation of Javakhk. The film presents distressful past, bitter and contradictory present and the image of vague future of Javakhk region forming the part of historical homeland. Being an important geographical and military strategical region, Javakhk has always been the political apple of discord for neighborhood countries, in the result of which, it has been emptied from Armenians and stood on the verge of destruction for many times. Javakhk, situated in the territory of neighborhood country, forming the part of our historical homeland, today is again subjected to demographic, social-economic, as well as to spiritual-cultural and even religious assimilation. The youth who bears the important plot line of the film, finishing the tour through the native land, is filled with the consciousness of being the real owner and heir of his homeland. How are we going to spend the money? We started the shootings of the film in 2009 and we already have 60% of it accomplished, therefore the money that we are trying to raise through kickstarter will be spent on post-production. You are welcome to give us any additional information about Javakhk, which we can use in enrichment of our film.
